Return to work services

Please note, this section is for return to work service providers. For treatment providers refer to our Allied Health or Medical page.

Remaining at work or returning to work after experiencing a work injury is proven to have a positive impact on a person's recovery. A worker may be referred to a return to work service provider for specialist support to help them return to their pre-injury employer or secure new employment.

In South Australia, the following return to work services can only be delivered by providers approved by ReturnToWorkSA:

  • pre-injury employer services
  • fit for work services
  • restoration to the community services
  • return to work assessment services
  • mediation
  • job placement services.

These services are described in the Return to work services fee schedule and policy (DOCX, 900 KB).

Claims managers may only use return to work service providers that are approved by ReturnToWorkSA. Self-insured employers are not subject to this restriction.
