Electronic Work Capacity Certificate (eWCC)

The electronic Work Capacity Certificate (eWCC) is an electronic format of the Work Capacity Certificate (PDF, 634 KB)- external site- external site which enables doctors to quickly and efficiently certify patient capacity and prescribe treatment, significantly reducing administrative time. About 75% of Work Capacity Certificates (WCCs) are received electronically by ReturnToWorkSA annually, being the preferred method of providing worker certification by medical practitioners in South Australia.

Once submitted, the certificate is available in the worker's file within minutes, enabling claims managers to access the information promptly and action any recommendations and referrals without delay.

ReturnToWorkSA has partnered with HealthLink to create an integrated solution for medical centres which enables access to the eWCC from within their Practice Management Software via the HealthLink Forms Library.

The eWCC is only accessible via the HealthLink Forms Library for the following supported Practice Management Software (PMS):

  • Medical Director
  • Medical Director Helix Cloud PMS
  • Best Practice
  • Genie (Windows & Mac)
  • Medtech Evolution
  • Medtech Artia
