Impairment Assessment Guidelines consultation

The Minister for Industrial Relations (the Treasurer) announced in Parliament that he would make submissions for consultation regarding the revised Impairment Assessment Guidelines (Guidelines) publicly available.

ReturnToWorkSA has since been seeking consent from submitting parties to publish their feedback and a document has been produced.

This document outlines who the submission is from, which part of the industry they represent, and what section of the Guidelines their feedback relates to. The document contains varying levels of detail and identification based on the level of consent given.

Feedback provided was beneficial in finalising the second edition of the Guidelines and amendments were made based on the feedback received.

The feedback highlighted a number of misunderstandings regarding the application of legislation and the interpretation of the Guidelines and its supporting publications. This supported the need to improve clarity and identified areas for training in the future.
