A new series of mentally healthy workplaces workshops by SuperFriend
The 2022/2023 skill building program has plenty to offer Return to Work Coordinators (RTWC’s) and employers in South Australia, including a new series of virtual mentally healthy workplaces workshops by SuperFriend.
SuperFriend is an organisation that specialises in workplace mental health and wellbeing to help organisations to thrive, with their vision for an Australia where all workplaces are mentally healthy.
- About the presenter Sandra Surace
The workshops will be led by SuperFriend’s Sandra Surace, Head of Workplace Mental Health who holds a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology and is currently completing her Masters in Counselling. She is passionate about creating sustainable cultural change within workplaces that enables wellbeing to flourish.
- About the workshops
In recognition of the challenging times many workplaces and individuals have faced during COVID, this series of workshops has a key theme in helping RTWC’s and other participants to focus on their own self-care by understanding the Five Ways to Wellbeing, as well as discussing strategies to protect against negative stress, fatigue and burnout. There will also be a workshop that focuses on how to reach out and have those supportive conversations in the workplace if you are concerned about a colleague, without feeling overwhelmed or having the fear of not knowing what to say.
Over the last seven years, SuperFriend has been conducting research into what makes workplaces thrive. Therefore, the workshop series could not miss bringing you the latest Indicators of a Thriving Workplace Report (release pending) containing many insights on workplace wellbeing trends. This will include where South Australian workplaces currently sit on Australia’s national thriving workplace scale, and most importantly, how you can move your organisation closer to thriving. (You can read the 2021 Indicators of a Thriving Workplace Report here)
Each of the sessions in the SuperFriend series will be supported by resources, including access to SuperFriend’s tip sheets that outline key messages from each workshop.
Look out for dates of these workshops in your bi-monthly “What’s On: Learning” newsletter. The workshop series will commence in September 2022. See you online.
