We offer a number of education and training opportunities for treating medical practitioners and their practice staff.

Online Courses

ReturnToWorkGP

ReturnToWorkGP is a free online course designed to provide you with the skills, tools and knowledge to help guide and progress your patients' recovery and return to work.

Developed by ReturnToWorkSA in partnership with GPEx, the course teaches:

  • the health benefits of work
  • how GPs can help their patients return to work
  • how to navigate the Return to Work scheme.

This is a free, two-hour online course, which is CPD accredited with the following organisations in the 2023-2025 triennium:

Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP):

  • Educational Activities: 1 hour
  • Reviewing Performance: 1 hour
  • Total: 2 hours

Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM):

  • Accreditation for the new triennium is pending.

Opioids and Your Patient

Opioids and Your Patient is a free online course designed to provide you with the skills, tools and knowledge to help maximise patient benefits and minimise the potential harms associated with opioids. Supported by ReturnToWorkSA and developed by ReachForTheFacts in collaboration with industry experts, the course includes:

  • opioids and the dangers of use
  • when and how to prescribe
  • monitoring and review
  • de-prescribing prescription opioids.

The Return to Work ECHO aims to create a community of practice that fosters shared learning and professional support.
All healthcare professionals from across South Australia are welcome to join this FREE program.

Our work injury management modules include strategies and discussion points that are applicable to all patients, not just work injured. All modules include considerations for certifying capacity.
