Is your workplace thriving or just surviving?

Take the digital self-audit and see.

In a recent poll of health, safety and wellbeing professionals, several key insights came to light. While many workplaces are doing well in areas such as return to work processes, policy, management of physical risks, and responding to health concerns, there are still some common gaps. These include measuring success through KPIs, addressing psychosocial risk management, fostering meaningful consultation, and recognising contributions.

To help workplaces understand where they currently stand and where improvement is needed, ReturnToWorkSA has developed the Healthy Workplaces Digital Self-audit Tool. This user-friendly resource supports workplaces to benchmark their performance in workplace health, safety and wellbeing. And it’s best used collaboratively, with input from across the organisation.

The self-audit is structured into four key sections:

  • Critical success factors
  • Protect against harm
  • Respond to health concerns
  • Promote thriving

Users rate their workplace on aspects such as leadership support, collaboration, inclusive work design, and opportunities for growth. This helps create a clear picture of strengths and gaps, so organisations can track progress and take action with purpose.

Two versions of this digital tool are available:

  • The advisor-assisted version allows scores to be shared with a Healthy Workplaces advisor, who can help guide next steps here.
  • The confidential version allows organisations to complete the audit privately by duplicating the form here.

As we celebrate World Day for Health and Safety at Work, now is the perfect time to take stock of how your organisation supports its people.

Prioritising health, safety and wellbeing isn't just the right thing to do; it’s a smart investment in your business’s future. After all, when workplaces invest in health, safety and wellbeing, they don’t just protect their people; they help unlock their full potential.
