Return to work services

Remaining at work or returning to work after experiencing a work injury is proven to have a positive impact on a person's recovery. A case manager may refer a worker to a return to work service provider for specialist support to help them return to their pre-injury employer or secure new employment.

Specialist services may include:

  • assistance at the pre-injury workplace
  • fit for work
  • job placement and support
  • assessments
  • mediation
  • other services that might assist return to work.

Case managers may only use return to work service providers that are appointed by ReturnToWorkSA. However, self-insured employers are not subject to this restriction.
