Are your labour hire or subcontractors registered with ReturnToWorkSA?

We are conducting ongoing forensic audits of labour hire companies and host employers as part of a crackdown to identify unlawful behaviour. It is estimated that this behaviour could be costing the Return to Work scheme up to $50 million a year and potentially driving up insurance premiums for honest employers. Investigations have uncovered businesses failing to register correctly or declaring false details in order to avoid paying premiums.

If you use workers who are not directly engaged by your business e.g. labour hire or subcontractors, you must undertake due diligence on these businesses to ensure they are adequately registered for work injury insurance.

You can check their registration status via our new online employer lookup tool.
