Are you a medical practitioner or allied health provider treating a patient who had a work injury prior to 1 July 2015? Financial support for medical treatment ceased on 30 June 2016 for people injured at work (29% or less whole person impairment) who were not receiving income support on 1 July 2015.  More information is available in the Return to Work scheme update for health practitioners brochure.

ReturnToWorkSA will pay for reasonable and necessary health and return to work services provided to people who have been injured at work after 1 July 2015 to help them recover from their injury and return to work as soon as possible, including:

  • Medical specialists
  • Physiotherapist
  • Psychologist
  • Occupational therapist
  • Speech pathologist
  • Osteopath
  • Chiropractor
  • Exercise physiologist
  • Mediation services
  • Pre-injury employer services
  • Job placement services
  • Fit for work services
  • Education and retraining.
